well... not so sure about the dying part since that would also require a considerable change in artists (at least for the music biz.. it would not be much of a problem for a band to publish their songs online and bypass the labels.. the web shows us time and again that word of mouth is a very powerful factor). For movies, it's a bit more complex as it does take considerable resources to make a movie.. but with digital technology, even that is changing (I'm thinking of the inofficial Star Wars movie or the Finnish Star Trek parody). But if you wanna go limo style big, there's currently no way around those organizations.
