Hi, I have an analog capture from CATV source. It is Picvideo MJPEG (quality 19) encoded, color space is YUY2, 640x480. You might recognise it from SG1.
My plan is to clean & Deinterlace(ITVC), then encode to XVID. But I haven't got the cleaning part down yet. I read throught the ANALOG CAPTURE GUIDE a couple times. Learned some basics of AviSynth & VDubMod, read up on suggested filters, wrote a Avisynth script, ran it through VDubMod, did more research, and realized I need some help.
So I'm looking for ideas as to what type of noise this is, and asking for suggestions on what filters would be best to reduce it.
Here are (hopefully) two screen shots. One as is, and one showing info from Defreq filter.
