I was just reading over some of the HD-DVD docs and if I understood it right, AVC at 720x480 (23.976) needs to have pulldown flags in the stream to meet HD-DVD compliance.
Is there any chance of getting this feature added to x264?
It appears mainconcept has the option to put in the flags (not quite sure if that is what it actually does though), but I was unable to make a file with mainconcept that would play back with both Nero and ffdshow decoders. If the timestamp option is enabled, the file crashes ffdshow. If it is disabled nero won't play it back.
BTW, I am new here. Does anybody else have problems getting mp4 (containing h.264 and mp2) to work with the newest Haali splitter? A few frames are played back and then the picture freezes. Gabest works fine, but I'd rather use Haali.
