aspect ratio data

hi, i've been doing some anamorphic encodes (400*268) 16:9 = 480*268. i'm popping the streams in an mkv.

i noticed in the encoder settings you can have aspect ratio data in the mpeg4 video stream.

do i need to specify 16:9 in the pixel ratio or DAR or can i leave it square and just let the mkv house the resize info?
