As we all know that there are CLI version and VFW version for the x264 encoder, so is there any x264 encoder of DirectShow version?

4i2i makes a Directshow H264 encoder. So does VSS (Vanguard). LEAD's H264 encoder isn't strictly DirectShow, but it does integrate with Windows Media Server. The other major players (Ateme, MainConcept, etc.) all make DirectShow encoders, but they haven't released their H264 encoders in this form because they want to make money selling standalone products.

As far as other next-gen codecs: VC-1 / WMV9 Pro is obviously native DirectShow. I'm not sure if VP7 is available as a DS encoder, but I wouldn't be surprised if On2 offers one.

Actualy there is a dshow encoder, it's called ffdshow. And I have a small app to use it: http://haali.cs.msu.ru/ffdsEnc/

What about Nero digital? Isn't it considered directshow since you can use Graphedit to use nero encoder?

I have installesd the 30-Day Trial Offer of Nero ShowTime CE,but the AVC Enc filter just can't work!

I include Nero with my comment about Ateme, Mainconcept, etc. -- they're mostly focused on selling a standalone product, not a pluggable DS codec.
