Posted this in Newbies, but got no reply:

Every time I use IFOedit to create a standard DVD from various VOBs, the resulting DVD has 100 to 130 chapters... each exactly one minute long. I use DVDshrink to extract VOBs from either store-bought DVDs I own, or to extract VOBs from DVDs I burn from TiVo (my attempt to remove commercials).

The original VOBs have chapters of normal length (varies for the store-bought DVDs, but 5 minutes long for the home-burned ones). The finished discs play fine, but skipping chapters is a real pain!

The only thing I've found that might be a workaround is to demux and then rebuild... but that's way too much work. I just want IFOedit to create chapters of a normal length... I don't even care if they match the original VOBs.

Any ideas would be appreciated. Many Thanks.

Ifoedit creates a chapter for each cell found in the VOB.
Just open the DVD in PgcEdit and doubleclick on the title and reduce to the number of programs you want to have with clicking on "Prog."
At last you have to fit chapter-table with "Edit Chapter (PTT)Table"
