Hi,

I tried to burn Shrek after putting it through DVDFab Decrypter with Any DVD running in the backgroud then shrinking it with DVD shrink and burning it with Roxio Disk Copier. It all seemed to go fine until I went to close the burning window and an error message would pop up with "Unspecified Error {0x1}". The DVD wont play. I've tried it a few times with DVD Decryper and also with only DVD shrink but have only produced 4 useless disks.

I haven't had any problems like this before (none that I couldn't find an answer for somewhere in one of the forums anyway) and was wondering if anyone could offer some advise?

Thanks,

Sam

Hi!

Try using DVD Shrink to make an .ISO image file - and then use DVD DEcrypter v.3.5.4 to burn it...

You should also disable AnyDVD while copying that particular disk, as it has no ARccOS protection. DVD Decrypter in ISO mode should have no problem with it for both ripping and burning as long as you burn using the .MDS file.

Hi,

Thanks for your advice and sorry to be an idiot but could you please explain a couple of things:

"Hi!

Try using DVD Shrink to make an .ISO image file - and then use DVD DEcrypter v.3.5.4 to burn it..."

What do you mean by use DVD Decrypter to burn it? I thought you had to have an actual burning program e.g. I got Roxio when I brought my DVD burner?

And....

"DVD Decrypter in ISO mode should have no problem with it for both ripping and burning as long as you burn using the .MDS file."

Again, can you burn with DVD Decrypter, and what is using the .MDS file?

Thanks and sorry....

Sam

Yes, DVD Decrypter is capable of burning .ISO image files (and ONLY image files)

You should use ImgBurn rather that DVDD to burn the ISO image. It's basically the same engine, but more recent, and it can support seleral new drives. Also, it is designed to burn DL DVDs even w/o .MDS files.

No offense, Sam80, but yours are basic questions, all of which have been covered in other threads and the guides to their respective programs, which is why "Use search" is both in the rules and has its own smiley.
