hi all,

well i've hunted all over this site and thru these forums and have been unable to find information regarding how to make bit-perfect copies of unprotected region-free movie dvds (all the discussions i found talk about how bit-perfect copies technically cannot be made of protected dvds).

can someone give me pointer?

If you have an unprotected DVD you can just do a straight copy with Nero or any other tool, like with any other ISO image.

A bit-perfect copy of DVD that only employs CSS as protection can easily be made with DVDDecrypter or other tools as mentioned above, same for unprotected (no CSS) DVDs.
When you have ARCcoS, RipGuard or any other of that nonsense on the discs its of course not that easy anymore.

Doesn't ANYDVD tied with CloneDVD do a bit perfect backup. Or is this person really wanting a bit perfect backup that backs up the encryption also. That would be a true bit perfect backup.

bit-perfect copies of unprotected region-free movie dvds
No encryption to back up, so no point in discussing that.

As stated, create an ISO and it will be as close to bit-perfect as your DVD drive and media can give you.

Or simply do a direct (No need to create an .ISO image file) disc-to-disc copy with NERO - and it certainly should be a "bit-perfect backup"...

as good as your drive is
cause theres always going to be one or two read/write errors
so yeah ISO MDS ect///

or daemon tools
or alcohol 120%
or hell
use winrar and rar a copy of the disk
