Hi,

I did a 2 splited dvds backup from a 7.5Gb dvd months ago with DvdFab.
Now I have a DL dvd burner but my original dvd is scratched.
I would join my 2 backup dvds to 1 dvd-DL because it is more convenient. I hope keep menus, chapters, etc... same as the original.
Is it possible? If yes, how can I do ?

Thanks in advance

Most studios will replace a scratched or otherwise damaged DVD for free if you mail it to them.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I already asked to the distributor without any results :-(

@Ghistho

Hi!

1) Have you tried using toothpaste to smooth the scratch on your original, purchased DVD?

2) Try using (freeware) DVDFab Decrypter (Different than DVD Decrypter) to re-rip your original DVD. This program automatically replaces unreadable sectors with "dummy" sectors when ripping. This could produce a very acceptable rip for you

3) The commercial program DVD2One has an excellent "Join" feature. Of course you'll lose any menus...

Just curious - You made a backup of your purchased commercial DVD, as we all do, so as to avoid the possibility of the original getting damaged. How did your original, purchased DVD get damaged after the fact?

Hi,

I have tried dvdfab without any results.
I do backup of my favorite dvds only when I lend to friends, everything can happen...

I do backup of my favorite dvds only when I lend to friends, everything can happen...I'll state the obvious - If you're going to "lend" your DVDs to people, don't give anyone your original DVDs, especially when you have a backup copy...

Have you tried the other two suggestions I made?

BTW - "DVDFab" and "DVDFab Decrypter" are two different programs
