hi there.
i have got a question about audio in gknot. everything is going smoothly, but i am a little confused about...:

my question is about the transcoding preferences, so:
- what, in your opinion, is more sensefully, surround normal or simply normal, the sizes of the outcoming files are equal, by the way. but i wonder if there might be some compatibility-problems?! what do you use, and why?
- OTA ???
- presets // boost // downsample ???

thx a lot,
fuchs :)

The "Downsample" is there for compatibility reasons, in case you're encoding for a device that can't reach 48khz on audio. I leave it unchecked for that slight extra quality. The Presets should be left alone unless you're converting NTSC to PAL or vice versa - you'll know if you need it because there will be synch issues. Boost and OTA can be left at defaults unless you've applied a Gain to increase the volume if the source is too low.

I typically leave it at the first MP3 default setting at 128 for something like TV shows, and Just Mux with movies to leave the audio in its original 5.1 AC3.
