I'm quite happy with the current XviD build I have installed on my computer.
And for future reference (ie. xp has to be re-installed),
i'd realy like to know wich XviD-build I have installed.
How can I see and be sure wich xvid build I have installed?
i tried the regular ways:
*start/programs/xvid/release notes
wich says: XviD-1.1.0-Beta2-04042005 _Beta Release_
*But then the add/remove programs, I see I have 2 * XviD installed.
*The xvid.dll etc. (rightclick) all have varying dates and say 24 - 29 september 2005.
So what is it?
Is there a way to be absolutely sure?

xvid.dll hasn't been used for ages, if you have it then it suggests that you installed a newer build without first uninstalling the old devapi3 build.
xvidcore.dll, xvidvfw.dll and xvid.ax are the files installed. What does the about box say in VDub(Mod)'s codec config?
I'd suggest that if you re-install your OS, that you go for 1.1final or a 1.2CVS build.

Open VirtualDub, go to the 'Video' menu --> Compression --> XviD, click the 'About'-box.

The video/compresion option is 'greyed out'
I tried opening a videofile first (avi and mpeg), still the same :D
I feel like such a dummie

in virtual dub set video to "fast recompress" or "full processing mode" but not "direct stream copy" - then it shouldn't be greyed out anymore...

Thanks!http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a158/alcappuccino/static8.gif
nobody prob. cares but it says:
XviD MPEG4 video codec
19:38:36, Sep 15 2005
xvidcore.dll version 1.1.-125 ("xvid-1.1.0-beta2")
(Vanilla CVS Build)
GPL'ed MPEG4 video codec demonstration.
For educational purposes only.
:) Last question: Can someone please explain these markings to me?
And where can I get this exact .exe installation build?
Much appreciated!
Once again thanks. Bye!

Think Koepi removed 1.1beta2, when 1.1final came out. You should be able to find it around though. I'd still suggest installing 1.1final instead if you reformat or even now.
