Weird DV & Virtualdub issue?

I have a bit of a weird problem I was hoping someone could help me out with. I normally use diko to do most of my avi to dvd conversions so I thought I would use it to convert some of my home videos. The problem is this. If I plug my original dv file into diko everything goes fine. However if I do any editing or cutting with vdub before I plug it into diko I run into issues. Diko will no longer read the correct length of each new edited file and it cuts the audio of each file off at 9 minutes and 22 seconds every time no matter how long it is. I know the issue has to be coming from vdub but what could the problem be. I use vdub with all my avi's with not one problem. Is it possibly a codec problem. I currently have the sony dv codec installed that came with my cam. Thanks in advance for any help.

What version of VirtualDub are you using?
9m 22s sounds suspicously like the file is around 2GB and hence if not OpenDML might cause issues. What are the sizes of the files you're processing? Do the resulting files only create issues in diko or other applications aswell?

If you happen to have a "Creative" .MP3 codec installed, try the following:

Go into your Control Panel and deactivate it...

I am using version 1.5.10. The file sizes vary but they start as a full dv tape about 11-12gigs which is fine in diko. After I split them into smaller files is when I have problems. I am only noticing the problem in diko. Vdub and media player are still reading the file lengths correctly.

As far as the "creative" mp3, I don't see one installed.

Have you tried with the latest version of VirtualDub (1.6.11)?
