Hi Everybody,
This one little problem is bugging me. My Dad's got a Pioneer DVR-520H standalone dvd recorder and he was wondering if there was any method he could use to remove the macrovision protection on it and make it region free also.
I had a little look around the net and all I could find was either external hardware that you connect to the dvd recorder or a remote control that you can rent which unlocks it for you. Both methods seem a bit expensive, and I'm sure there must be another way, maybe a certain code that you input using the Pioneer's own remote control.
As of yet I haven't found any useful information on this subject, so I would be very grateful if anyone here would be able to shine some light on this subject for me.
