I started with D2SroBa in order to make a DVD with 5 movies of about less than one hour on one DVD .
I know it must be possible cause someone was telling that he did it this way. I was told that it was done using D2SRoBa And the result was of a very good quality.
So in D2SRoBa I have set the CDsize on 1116 And that did not help
Now I have in VIDEO_TS two files of 1.048.544KB and one of 176.608KB.
You see it is smaller but everything is stil far to big.
Can Anyone help?? Greetings Jan

What conversion mode do you have DVD2SVCD set at ?
I.E - avi->DVD, Avi->SVCD
Change to avi->to svcd then on frameserver tab change the resize drop down to DVD(720 x 480/576).
now run D2sRoba and see how you go.

Thank You ArchieX.
I got the next file:
"bbMPEG_Muxed_File00.mpg" 813.519KB and that is very small indeed
and there was also made an imagefile:
"CD_Image_File_CD1.bin" 825.238KB
But I still want to make a DVD with 5 movies and a menu to select. Sorry but this is all very new to me. Can You help? Greetings Jan

With the mpg & iso files you will also have 2 files :
Encoded_audio_1.mp2
Encoded_Video_CCE_.mpv
You now have the choice of using software like SVCD2DVD (http://www.svcd2dvd.com/) or DVD Lab (http://www.mediachance.com/dvdlab/index.html)
SVCD2DVD will allow you to load the mpegs, create a simple menu and build the DVD.
DVD Lab is a little more in depth.
If you have a look at the tutorial section in the main doom9 site you should be able to build your DVD with a little practice.
Good luck and remember Help is available in all the forums at Doom9

Also, keep in mind that every source has a specific bitrate requirement to deliverer a certain quality. This is not a problem, normally, IF the source files are all the same series or the like. It is a big problem when different style movies are combined on on DVD an the user assumes and uses the same bitrate for each source as a simple method of getting them all on the dvd. You may end up with several of the sources looking great and several looking like junk.
There is a way to test this is you are willing to do a quick sample pass for each of the sources. See my sig. Hopefully it is clear enough for you to understand how to do it. Here is the important part.
Note 3: The sampling method is only available when using AviSynth to frameserve video to CCE OnePassVbr (OPV). It assumes the reader understands the use of avisynth and is capable of editing an AVS script, loading the script into CCE, choosing OPV mode and a Q value. To produce an AVS for creating the sample, simple add this line at the bottom of your working script: SelectRangeEvery(1200,12). Obviously, this line must be removed after the sample has been created.
You will need the derived bitrate spreadsheet calculator (http://forum.doom9.org/attachment.php?s=&postid=475110), linked here, or attached to the NEXT post below, OR use this formula - (((Sample_Size_In_Bytes*(100/Sample_Size_Percentage))*8)/1000)/(Total_Frames/Frame_Rate)
