Hi,
I did some testing with YAMB here and love this GUI. Currenlty I have a problem regarding chapters in mp4 files. I muxed x264/aac + OGG chapters with YAMB.
As YAMB is able to extract them, they seems to be present in my mp4 file but neither VLC/QuickTime/mplayer seems to find them.
Did I miss something?
Regards,
Foo
P.S. Tests were done by this guide http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/mp4.htm

/nitpick
As YAMB is able to extract them, they seems to be present in my mp4 file but neither VLC/QuickTime/mplayerthats because these players dont support the chapters
nor NeroVision seems to find them.what do you mean by "nerovisio"?
here the neroparser handles chapters fine (tested in wmp6)

Thank you for the quick reply!
I ment NeroShowTime not NeroVision - my fault
Seems that I have to do some further tests with Nero if the parser handles your chapters. I haven't known that the other players don't support chapters so I can leave them aside.
I used ChapterXtractor to get a chapter file on Ogg format as said in the guide.

try to create a mp4 file with chapters with nero recode2 and try if they are shown in showtime
i am not sure but it might be that showtime also didnt show the chapters!?
maybe seemoredigital knows something about this
i dunno the details anymore maybe you find something about showtime not showing chapters by :search:

Provided your chapters have been generated correctly with YAMB, Nero's ShowTime player (and Media Player Classic) will be able to display them just fine.
If you get stuck, here's a sample (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/seemoredigital/Temp_Test_Files/x264_720x576_with_2Ch_AAC-LC_with_chapters_in_MP4.7z) for you to try.

Thank you for the sample!
I did some further testing here and everything works fine now. I was missled by the numeric buttons on the left side of ShowTime not offering a chapter switch. I did some software updates on my XBOX XBMC + cache disabled for HD movies. That solved my mp4 trouble on that platform - chapter selection work as expected :)

.... Another satisfied customer ;)
I find the "Chapter Naming" facility particularly useful.... And the nice thing about chapter points in MP4 is, they are not tied to a "key-frame".
Cheers
