i especially like the last one. copying games has been asked MANY times before and a little searching would have found the response to such a question.

not really. some PS2 games are on dvd aswell and look at whats been the response to asking about copying both PS2 and XBox games in the past.
actually to save you searching for them i will simply give you a link that should make the matter quite clear to anyone, since its from one of the mods.

and none of those posts start "i have a video from a game dvd i own which i would like to convert" so not relevant.
Just kiddin' anyways
ye i know you are but the sad thing is some people do think those things. if you read the last thread i linked you will see Sirber actually said
isn't that forum about DVD backup?
to which he got the reply
xbox360 games are on DVD. If you make a backup of a game on another DVD, it's a DVD backup. There's nothing wrong in doing that as long as you only backup the games you own.
so ye as i said some people wll actually think that way.

hmm. funny thing is a lot of people who post here about ripping games will no doubt post on gamers' boards about ripping (video) DVDs :)

I have an older model xbox(2002)and it can't recognize the HALO 2 disc(several copies).I think it has to do with the copyright encryption. Is there anyway to bypass this?

I do think IMHO that all these "n00bies" that post here about gaming etc, are MPAA moles trying to fuel a law suit ... think about it... employ some poeple to post things that could get a site shut down...then pretend that you jsut came across it, and then file law suit...
I understand that most of these posts are harmless talks about gaming, but i reember some that have not been.
also lizzard people rome the eath manipulating are thoughts and we didn't land on the moon :p JOKE :)
Sorry i felt like i was being a little paranoid lol

well.. in case of software, it's not even about fair use, but there's a right enshrined in copyright law to make a backup copy. Since software makers won't provide you with the means, you just gotta help yourself. But as with video, the same tools and procedures that can be used to make perfectly legitimate backups can also be abused. It is the industry's POV that since it can be abused it must be banned. However, society doesn't work like that or we wouldn't have tobacco, alcohol, guns, knives, cars (run somebody over), etc.
