Encoding of Vids on different Win versions.

Hey chaps any one of you came about to test if the operating system gives performance benefit / outcome benefit of encoded file, does not matter what codec, but simply does Win XP produce better results or Win 98 or Win 2003 Server?

There might be speed differences for encoding / decoding but there should be no quality (bitstream) differences.

I can see where a machine running 98 may yield slightly better encode times over one running XP, since the latter OS puts more demand on overall system recources, but I doubt the difference would be significant.

When I was dual booting between XP and 98se, I gave it a shot, and didn't notice any difference. Nothing worth changing OS for anyway.
