Can XVID encode this

I seem to recall that AGK can encode transport streams. As I understand it the files produced by PVR's like the Topfield record Transport streams which have an REC extension. Does this mean that if I were to change the REC extension to TS or MPG that XVID can recode it?

Try it and see - it seems like it should from what you've described.

I tried it & the video was transcoded ok but I had no audio.

You can demux the audio from the source with VirtualDubMod and mux it to your final encode, hopefully with it still in synch.
