If I encode a fiel with a Pro Logic matrix in AAC Plus v2 (using PS) I will destruct the surround effect, right? If I encode it at 64 kbps without the PS part? It's the same or not? Can anyone tell me this or also test this, beacuse i don't have the possibility to check it out.
Tnx

at 32kbps (with PS), surround is weak, blur and metalic.

And at 48 and 64 kbps (no great difference, I think)? I've a lot of DVD with only dolby pro logic audio for the japanese track, i'd like to know how can i keep the surround effect (also if it's useless on my PC) and using AAC Plus.

If you don't use the PS part, the surround won't be destroyed, but the higher frequency will still be destroyed because of it's SBR......

It's best if you just keep the original audio from DVD without changing it to other format?

Please don't mention it. I was talkin about AC3 in Mp4 and it seems that Bond hate it, and personally I hate MKV (I don't like it, maybe it's better to say it in this way).
About AAC Plus v2 I Thought that it was like this, in the end it's a mono signal with PS.
Thanks for the help!
