IfoEdit v0.96 wont't open a DVD-Audio Ifo-File

Hello,

i am not in a position to open an Ifo file from a DVD-Audio. Is there a significant difference between the DVD-Video Ifos and DVD-Audio Ifos?

They are completely different standards. IFOEdt (and this forum) is for DVD-Video only.

Even the protection (CSS) is different, and AFAIK, there isn't SW able to decrypt DVD-Audio, is it?

2. How can i detect whether a DVD is decrypted with CSS? Is this shown on the cover? Or is it possible with ifo edit?

dvd-audio was cracked a few months back. A russian guy wrote a program to intercept the DVD-A stream from WinDVD, which is the only software program that can read DVD-A. the hack was first reported over at hydrogen audio and they say it works well.

Even so, if your cracked DVD-A streams are watermarked, you player will not play them back because the DVD-A standard says that if you have watermarking and no DVD-A CSS (or whatever it is called) then it will not play. But most are not watermarked so all works. The hack also decoded MLP. The tools were taken doen fairly fast though.

What I found most interesting is that most so-called high-fidelity DVD-A is just regular WAV upsampled!!!
