How to fix post-IfoEdit "Strip Streams"?

I just used IfoEdit to strip Angle 2 from a 2-angle PGC. The result is only stream 1 but the angle option is still available during playback.

I've tried to remove all of the French and Spanish portions. Angle 1 video is used for English and Spanish audio. Angle 2 was for French audio and it also had French titles. French and Spanish audio is long gone, so is the angle 2 video. The goal is to get rid of this junk so DVD-RB won't puke.

How should lines 8-11 in the pre commands be modified so they don't reference the French or Spanish audio? The default audio track is English and the menu buttons to chose French or Spanish have already been deleted. There IS a second audio stream of director's comments in English. There's no way a viewer should be able to specify another language.

On a related note, how can the IFOs be scanned to find any other remnants of angle 2 which should have been removed?

? dvd-rb should be able to handle such a title without pre-processing.

those lines shouldnt do anything as long as youve really stopped access to audio switching. so removing them is fine.. leaving them just as fine.

i would also set PUO of no audio or angle switching .

DVD-RB Pro doesn't properly work with multiple angles yet. It croaks on the 4-angle Metallica S&M set and a few other titles. I'm not the only person who's seen problems during playback after switching streams. I'd rather properly strip the junk than take the chance DVD-RB Pro will get confused and muck it up.

PUO isn't really what I'm looking for but it is a clever suggestion. I want to get rid of whatever is telling the player there are 2 angles.

You can also force the SetSTN commands to use the streams that are still present. On a related note, how can the IFOs be scanned to find any other remnants of angle 2 which should have been removed?You could use the search box in the lower right corner of the main PgcEdit window. Type in "angle" and click the All button.
However, you will not find the angle definitions in the cells list and the VMG_TT_SRPT table. Anyway, these flags should have been removed by IfoEdit.

Well, IfoEdit doesn't catch all the angle stuff on this title, R1 Oliver & Company Special Edition, even from a fresh rip. I changed the VMG_PTT_SRPT setting to 1 stream and nulled, so to speak, the 2 language stream commands as you suggested. That seems to have worked.

PgcEdit shows "-" in the A column for each cell. Didn't see a way to edit that with IfoEdit, either. We'll see what happens after rebuilding. Thanks for the help and advice.

PgcEdit shows "-" in the A column for each cell. Didn't see a way to edit that with IfoEdit, either.This means that the Angle flags of the cells are not set. It's normal after an IfoEdit's Strip Angle.

BTW, in PgcEdit, you can edit the Angle flags by clicking on the Cell Type Flags buttons.

im a diehard ifoedit fan and what ive found out is that pgcedit can do all it does.. and more.. and sometimes better. my first instinct is to load ifoedit but then i goto pgcedit and its just a matter of getting used to the different interface. (i got some 'somethings wrong' messages while doing some editing with ifoedit so i went over to pgcedit and was able to do what i wanted without issues).. i appreciate the great work youve done with the program. i was wondering if you were contemplating a strip angle/ilvu option at all.

No, I will not implement any strip function. PgcEdit is an IFO editor (though there are some functions related to the VOB files.) Furthermore, Tcl/Tk is a relatively slow language, and is therefore not suitable to parse a large amount of data, such as VOB files.

IMO, a strip angle function is something for VobBlanker, as it is focussed on VOB editing. I think Jsoto has it in his todo list.

Yes it is in my todo....but currently I've having a vacation... :)

I'm going to do some minor things in pgcDemux, and probably then I'll start to work with ILV and angles in VobBlanker...
