so I'm trying to encode a DVD, AutoGK says

[1/10/2006 10:45:39 AM] Analyzing source.
[1/10/2006 10:50:47 AM] Source is considered to be hybrid (mostly FILM).
[1/10/2006 10:50:47 AM] Looking for optimal hybrid thresholds.
[1/10/2006 10:52:34 AM] Found threshold of: 1.49
[1/10/2006 10:52:34 AM] Output will contain 122375 frames

BUT, when I look directly at the .d2v file I see at the bottom

FINISHED 0.00% FILM

How is 0% "mostly FILM"

When this DVD is encoded, there are horrible sync issues, that I am guessing are due to this.

anyway to correct it?

to answer one of my questions, it basically seems that vstrip is not ripping the dvd correctly (for one, output VOBs are in different order than how it plays, and this isn't a multiangle dvd).

Still don't know why its "hybrid" with 0% FILM, but think I can get this encoded now, just have vstrip rip only the vob ids I want.

Well, DGIndex only uses the metadata (the flags). AGK examines the frames. Content marked 0% FILM can still be progressive.

People still use VStrip?
