Greetings audio related people,
This subject is about missing MPEG-4 AAC audio encoded with MainConcept MPEG-4 AAC audio encoder 1.1.0.0 using PSP Media Manager (currently v1.0a build 193) for converting pre-processed DVD > .avi (DivX/XviD with MP3 audio) to PSP AVC .mp4 (Sony's High AVC setting).
In short: After purchasing and installing PMM 1.0a b193 it easily recognized DivX files (with DivX v6.0.9 installed) and not XviD (because this codec is not officially supported by PMM yet). After upgrading to DivX v6.1.1.2 (without having installed the latest patch at the time of writing this) PMM wouldn't recognize DivX files at all (only .mp4 and .mov from local video directory). After hours of testing and experimenting with settings, and Sony Technical Support testing my patience, I figured out a way to trick PMM into recognizing all of the video files, primarily for the purpose of converting XviD files to PSP. I posted a possible solution in another thread about the whole process of XviD > PMM cheat:

PROBLEM:
Right now I'm stuck with no MPEG-4 AAC audio in all of the converted XviD/DivX files (but perfect AVC video) and I’ve still not found anything on this subject anywhere on the web concerning PMM.
The following is my system setup which may confuse some or it may not (if you need to know anything else, please say so…). My next step will probably be experimenting with my system's Audio settings (obviously):
