pop ups appear in movies

i'm using Fair use wizard mostly...

i get those information popups eg: in Lion King 1 1/2, popups tell me all about the African wildlife, how to say stuff in Swahili etc...

this also happened with Chronicles of Riddick and a few others... i never tried DVD Decrypter on them, though.

i mainly use FUW to rip to avi to play on my modded xbox.

any ideas?

Try changing the subtitle menu to a different English subtitle, if you enable subpictures.

In (I think) both Spiderman movies, those annoying popups were simply different subtitle streams.

Sounds like the extra features are kicking in when not wanted. Most likely a compression issue. I would try one of the other ripping programs available. (DVDDecrypter, DVDShrink, DVDFab) These all worked on the older movies. There are plenty available if you read into some of the other threads.
