xmpeg 5.0 working fine but now limiting videos to 29secs

as the title states. i've been using xmpeg 5.0 w/out any problems for a few months now. just yesterday it has begun limiting my video length to 29 seconds. it does this regardless of size or setting (dvd, mpeg, avi, etc), and is pissing me off.

i had a similar problem several months ago with flaskmpeg, which is why i switched to xmpeg. what's going on here? can someone suggest another alternative application to use?

However, you might want to try UNinstalling XMPEG, rebooting, and then REinstalling XMPEG...

No, not specifically - but since you've mentioned that you had similar problems with Flask, I can only surmise that you are somehow corrupting a file that is common to both...

Check you aren't using timestamps.
