I apoligize in advance if this is the wrong forum to post this question in.
I'm looking to do a batch encode of DVD vob files ripped using DVD Decrypter, to XVID avi format. Normally, I use VDubMod, but that can only do one file at a time, which can be tedious and time consuming. I would like some recommendations on programs out there that can be setup to do multiple encodes in a row, and also provide the same amount of control over setting up encoding parameters as something like VDubMod would.
Thanks

You can use the job list of VirtualDubMod, when you save your file just select "don't run this job now...", it will put your job in the job list and return to the main screen so you can setup a second, a third, and so on... job to execute and store in your job list. When you've finished setting up enter the job list (press F4) and click "start".
Or you may just have a look to some programs like ARCalculator,AutoGK,StaxRip,Avi.net and someother you can find in this forum!

Sorry, I didn't quite phrase that correctly, I don't think i was sure what I wanted to know at the time I wrote that post.
What I actually want know is if there's a way to rip multiple DVD tracks/streams at once using DVD Decrypter or an equivalent program. It would essentially be the same as giving DVD Decrypter a "Job List" like VDubMod has.
Even better still would be if there is a way to do the whole thing (DVD->VOBs->AVI) in a one step process, but I understand that this is probably asking a bit too much.
Thanks

Well:
DVDDecrypter support commandline switches so if you have two dvd player (or a dvd player and a dvd burner) you can put a dvd in each one and create a batch file to tell DVDDecrypter to process one dvd after another.
to have the switches it support just run dvddecrypter.exe in a command prompt or read the readme file in teh installation directory.
In addiction, also dgindex support commandline so you can create a .d2v project file and a avisynth script, then you should use avs2avi,virtualdubmod or xvidencrew (i suppose) for the frameserving and the encoding phase but here i must stop because my knowledge lacks.
Maybe the easier thing you can do it's a two step proces
1) Decrypt all the DVDs to your hard disk in a batch mode or not, depending how many they are
2)use autogk,or another tool among those i suggested you, to encode:they all have job list.
P.S.: this subforum is only for DVD to DVD backup not for DVD-to AVI conversion, you shuold post in MPEG 4 subforum or in General forum i think!
