dvd shrink encoding very slow

the past 2 days my version of dvd shrink has been encoding very slow. it took about 2 hours to encode my movies. i have the latest version 3.2. is there any other good shrink like software out there. thanks phil

Check to see if DMA has been turned off (and changed to sloooow PIO mode) for your drives...

Did you enable Deep Analysis and/or adaptive error compensation? Both will make the encoding process take much longer.

The speed of the program, will also depend on the speed of the media you are recording from. If the master disc only has a 2.4x or 4x read speed, then it will take longer to process.

thanks for the replys. i checked everything couldnt find anything wrong, so i reset my computer to a earler date now everything is fine. thanks again to all... phil
