Based on Sigma EM820L processor, it is able to read H264 in high def from your computer to your TV.
Available in Belgium for 200€.

I actually posted a thread about this device way back in March 2005: -

And the ShowCenter 200 can't decode MPEG-4 AVC (aka: H.264) in hardware because Sigma's EM8620L chip-set does not support it....

But with the aid of a PC's processing power, it might be able to transcode MPEG-4 AVC streams!

Thanks to clarify.
So, it is not really a new product!:(

No, it's not a new product--I believe they first appeared for sale in May of this (oops, I mean last) year.

I'm surprised though that Pinnacle has not (yet) announced any upgrade plans. OTTOMH the 8622 chip is supposed to support 264 and be pin-compatible with the 8620, so you'd think this would be easy to implement. But I don't know if Sigma is even shipping that chip yet?

And the AVC capable chip-set are still in beta.... as far as I know!
