I have a DVD recorder and I recorded a TV show but I would like to remove the TV ads. I've tried VobBlank but it gives an error it couldn't find the cell. Also tried VideoRedo and could remove the ads, but now I have to remaster the DVD again because the IFO's were not updated to the new VOBs.
Which is the best way to remove the ads from the DVD VOB's?

Hi!
One of the simplest ways would be to use "TMPGEnc DVD Author". You can obtain a FULLY functional free 30 day trial version of this commercial program at:

vio_man, I'm helping someone do the same thing. They couldn't get dvdshrink to open the disc. I found vobblanker wouldn't open it either. Try running the vobs through FixVTS. Drag and drop the first vob then click the 'Full DVD' button. It should open in your program of choice then. At least, that fixed the DVD I played with.

Thanks but the setarip_old tip really did the trick. The software does just what I need to and doesn't complain about any non standard VOB structure ;)
