I'll be purchasing this R1 DVD this weekend and was wondering if there were the newer protection issues with it?

Yup. This one seems to have the new Ripguard protection on it. Use the latest DVD Fab Decrypter or the PSL2Plugin for DVD Decrypter to rip it. Or if you have AnyDVD make sure you have the latest version (5.7.3.1 at the time of this writing) and that'll take care of it.

If you are using Decrypter & AnyDVD, you'll get a few "Pack Header" errors which you can ignore. I made a backup of Toy Story 2 keeping the DDEX 5.1 track, movie and menu untouched without any problems. Thanks to VobBlanker & PgcEdit. :)

I used DVDDecrypter (v3.5.4.0), and it seemed to work fine.

I was able to rip Toy Story 2 to my hard drive with DVDFab but can't burn it with DVD Shrink or Decrypter. What's wrong?

Hi!

Load your hard drive rip into VOBBlanker, set a new destination directory - and simply press the "Process" radiobutton...

Sorry for the ignorance, but do I use the default settings in VobBlanker?
Also, should I rip the files using DVD Decrypter or DVDFab?
Sorry again for the newbie questions.

Are you using the very latest version of DVDFab? If you're using DVD Decrypter, you'll probably need to use the PSL plugin for PGCEdit. The latest version of DVD Fab Decrypter should allow you to rip this movie to your hard drive and have Shrink process the files without the need to run VobBlanker.

1)Rip with DVD Decrypter v.3.5.4 in "File" mode (Select "ALL files", NOT "movie files")

2) Load into VOBBlanker (set to DEFAULT settings), set a new destination directory - and simply press the "Process" radiobutton...
