I have download a x264 encoder and it can output .mp4 or .mkv files but it can't output any .avi files. So my question is that can I find any x264 encoders that can output .avi files?

Virtualdub + x264 vfw, or x264 cli (output to raw) + avc2avi. Search please!

why do you need .avi output?

because i can't find any filter in the graphedit to write the output of the encoder to a file.

you want to mux the output of x264 to .avi so you can remux again to another container? does that make sense? :D

whats your final container you want to have and why do you need .avi in between?
