I am starting to encode My DVD collection o thay can play back on a standalone DVD/Divx player, since my mother got a LG DVD/VHS/Divx combo. Since she is in another state I can't test them untill I next visit (a months time)
I encoded a few so far and sent them to a friend to test. It was encoded with Divx6.1 in Home Theater Profile, the LG said it was Home Theater certifided (spelling?). But he said that it had a packed bitstream and may not play. I can't see any option in Divx6.1 to turn it on or off.
I just now playing around with Xvid (which I could find the packed bitstream on/off tickbox) but file size if 2x as large to get the same quality
Dose anyone know how to turn on/off packed bitstream in Divx6.1 or dose the newer Divx standalone (ie. LG) have no problems with Divx6.1. I would HATE to start all over again hehehe.
(p.s. I know I am a noob, I just hope I have put this in the right forum as it is hardware related)
