Hi Setarip,
Unfortunately,Digis host terminated his domain, they "got a letter" in digis words. He is currently looking for a new host.
Hello everybody.
my site www.dvd95copy.com is currently down.
The domain hosting has been terminated, so I will need to find a new host.
So please don't install a new version of Dvd95Copy, cause you won't be able to activate it.
I will try to find a new host asap.

I wonder if this kind of attack on web hosts is going to be a common thing now.

Well, they attacked the DVD Shrink site a few months back to Jim. So, I guess it's not getting any better.

Some developers may have to go underground. There have been "other" areas that atrct attention..and that's what happens. Seems big business never learns..the more they attacks..the more peeps go underground..and then it's even harder to find them.

Wasn't he in some sort of dispute with the authors of DVDFab?

Yes, with the publisher/distributor...

But I doubt it's got anything to do with that.
My understanding is that the MPAA has closed 3 DVD95Copy host sites (threatening the ISP) - they are out to get Digi. Someone ought ot help him fight back. Where's the EFF when you need them?
Seayrip, weren't you a lawyer?

Seayrip, weren't you a lawyer? As to whether "Seayrip" or any other poster is a lawyer, you might want to read this post (especially the last sentence):

I doubt if an "individual" could close three sites.

He seems confident that the new host will work out :) .
I suggested to him that perhaps its not worth it to include a ripping function with dvd95copy. let someone else do the dirty work. this would suck,it is VERY convenient to be able to put a disc in and walk away until its done. But if given the choice of not having dvd95copy updated at all,I could live without the built in ripper. the program did start out without it anyway. also, now with the pgcedit plugin wizard so easy to use,a built in ripper just isnt "needed".

But if given the choice of not having dvd95copy updated at all,I could live without the built in ripper. If it no longer had a built-in ripper, what remaining aspect of the program would ever require updating? It's the excellent decrypting (DVD95Copy was the first to be able to rip second generation "ARccOS"-protected DVDs) capability, as part of the only true "all in one" program, that makes DVD95Copy an important program...

the ability to remove titles with one click is the best feature,in my opinion.
the program would also still have al the other features that are good, join, split, burning, an easy to use GUI, the ability to set the compression size to any percentage you want if you dont remove completely.
I dont really think it will come to that anyway.

I just received this from Digi on Sunday. I appreciate is diligent work to improve the software.
Dear user,
find attached a link to the new version of Dvd95Copy.
- fixed: Updated for new ARccOS variants like 'Madagascar'.
- fixed: The Polar Express had missing audio on movie-only copies
- added new copy-destinations: ISO/UDF image creation and HD folder
- added new control that displays the main movie quality

Thats interesting. thats sounds like the 3.32 download. I got this notice on jan. 7th.
is there a new version number?
I do know that digi updated version 3_32 without changeing the version number. the original 3_32 is 5,216kb,the newer version of 3_32 is 4,904kb (AKA beta 3_34). it was updated for 'Dark Water' japanese version.
