Have Advent HDTV connected to MSI ati 9550 video card from DVI to DVI/HDCP. Notice pixelation-not shure if correct term -extra lines where shouldn't be-on video- mostly indoor scenes-on skin or backgrounds.
Played same scene on stand alone DVD player connected using component video cable to same TV -no pixelation.
Played same scene via SVGA to KDS computer monitor-no pixelation.
Video scene ripped from DVD -vob. no compression.
Would like to understand this.
Is component video limited to 720x480 ?
Believe problem is TV/monitor ?
Could be video card ?
Need faster video card for DVI ?
Probably will see if I can get VGA to component adapter to try ?
FYI rest of sytem 3.2GHZ Athlon 64 754 socket, ECS 755-A2 mb,
512 mb DDR, 250 GB SATA, ATI HDTV Wonder.
