Hi,

I have 42 MPEG files of 1 movie, that I'd like to 'convert' to DVD (4-5 dvds).
Is this possible?

If so, how?

I tried using the guides here, but I just confused myself. I don't know which guide to use (I'm a total newbie).

Please help.

Thank you.

What is the format of the files (SVCD, VCD, other)? If either SVCD or VCD, I would suggest using a program called SVCD2DVD (http://www.svcd2dvd.com). It will do the job without re-encoding your files.
If the files are of another type, you will probably need to re-encode. I would probably try Tmpegenc to re-encode to a compatible format.

What format?
That's the problem. I don't know.

How do I know?
GSpot doesn't tell anything.

Downloaded and installed Mpeg Details.
Program runs great.

Except, it says...

works (video and audio)

Same result with file #1 and file #10.

Now what?

Thanks.

You have downloaded these files from the net and as such you are in violation of the rules on this board by asking help to convert it.

EDIT:

I have been informed by ssalim that he got the files from a 200GB harddisk. Somehow he thinks that is more legal which it is not. The closure stands.
