video gets shorter for no reason?

I have some videos that I made and there about 11 mins long. But all of a sudden they only play about 55 secs of the video. But when I click in the windows media player bar (to skip certain scenes) it goes to half way through the movie. It only plays that 55 secs. Its like random chapters. I cant watch the video all the way threw. Has this happend to anyone eles and is there a way to fix it?

1) Did they EVER play all the way through under Windows Media Player?

2) Do they play properly under a different player?

3) If you have any other videos, do they also exhibit this behavior playing under Windows Media Player?

Try playing them in Media Player Classic.

1. Yes they did play through at one time
2. They play properly under XBMC
3. yes some they are .MPG but not all the .MPG are like this

The Media Player classic doesnt fix it.

Sounds like the specific files have somehow been corrupted. To find out with certainty, burn them to disc and then try playing them on someone else's system...
