Yeah, I managed to run CCE 2.70 on the newest ReactOS. Also DGIndex, Avisynth. DVDDecrypter I could install, but it couldn't start it.

More infos about ROS you can find here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=104940)

How fast is it?

I only started it via VMware Workstation. I must install it first to tell you that. ROS is in the alphastate. I need to find first a running fileexplorer which can copy/paste files. The build in ones are a little buggy. I'll post my progress here.

It must be faster as windows. ROS supports multicore CPUs and all WinXP drivers for the hardware. I used W2k emu in vmware.

Thanks for your reply. I have only had a look at a live cd so far, and it looked promising.

I visited the developer forum. Unreal Tournament runs slower than on windows. This can be cos of driver issues. UT runs in software rendering. CCE runs slower on ROS cos the whole OS is slow even in the fileexplorer.

The developer are working hard to get it stable. Windows needs 20 years to get "good". If they do it in 10 they will be faster ;)

For a 0.2.9 Alpha-build it is realy good. Next I'll test hanks hcenc. The driver support is not so as I thought at the first time. Some drivers will crash the system. I'll test with vmware what I'll can install.

I did a real install with an P3 system. Same speed as in vmware. So I can test it in vmware cos it will be the same speed.

Thanks again. I wonder if the dev people are slower in getting it fast than the Microsoft people have been fast in getting it slow.
