IfoEdit DVD play problem

Have DVD content on hard drive. Pull it up in InfoEdit and load the TS-VIDEO info file. Push Play DVD and receive the error message:

This DVD-Video is protected by Macrovision.
The systm does not satisfy Macrovivion requirement.
Can't continue playing this disk.

I have played this selection before. What is suddenly missing from the system? The player used to work?!?! Latest version as well as previous versions give the message.

Check (with Vobedit) the APS flag in any navpack of the offending VTS (byte 0x0031, should be 0).

If necessary, rip again and make sure remove MV is checked.

Re-ripped from original and get same message. Checked macrovision and all set to 0. I have played this file in the past. Could it be the updates in DirectX which is now 9.0 or above?
something has changed and I have not been able to discover what.

Update: Tried to play the re-rip on ZoomPlayer and get the error message Macrovision Failure. Something has happened in my computer. It has been a year since I used these programs so I have no idea where to start looking. Heaven knows what program addition or deletion caused this. Ideas??

Plays fine in Media Player Classic.

It is a compliation of VOB's for a demo. It has played fine before. It is now playing in Zoomplayer, do not know what I did. Just will not play in the IfoEdit DVD player as it has in hte past.

The DVD plays in everything except IfoEdit. I have even tried pointing directly to the DVD-rom drive and it will not play but plays fine in all other players. Again, it used to play when I first put it together last year.

I wouldn't worry about it then. MPC is an excellent SW player.

The problem might be caused by the installation of a new player, or even an upgrade, on your machine. IfoEdit may use a newly installed codec.

I'm having problems with Decrypter and SmartRipper as well.

Try performing a "System Restore" back to the last time things were working properly...

Try performing a "System Restore" back to the last time things were working properly...I would except I do not know when that was and I have not used these programs in over a year.

I think it best to just live with this right now. Updates on other programs like Shrink may negate the need right now. The stripping ability is still fine and the other general DVD player suggested works fine. Thanks all!! Happy New Year!!
