Hello Video Gurus. I hope I have placed this thread in the right place. I had a process for making Xvid AVI files using AutoGK very easily. I have looked through guides and forums to help with some of the processes.
My bottom line is I want to pick an 1 or 2 hour movie off of a DVD and create a 1/3 DVDR Xvid file
My Old Process:
1. Use DVD Decrypter to create an IFO File.
2. Use Auto GK v1.60 in (DVD input mode) this option is no longer available in the new version of Auto GK.
3. I would Set Auto GK v1.60 to 1. input directory, output file, 2. audio track (usaully AC3 6ch), 3. Output size (1/3 DVDR), 4. Xvid, 5. Add job.
4. Come back in a few hours and have an AVI file I could store and use on my computer.
Problems:
Recently on some DVD's I have had out of sync voice with video. I now went to upgrade the AutoGK software and noticed the DVD input is no longer available since 2.15 beta. Got a little lost using straight file mode.
How do I recreate the same process above using the new Auto GK? Is there a switch for DVD input mode?
I have used DVDFab and it seems to only make a File Mode Version. I would love to know if a program can use the files DVDFab places on the hard drive to create an IFO file off of the hard disk files. DVD Decrypter only allows you to use files directly off of the DVD.
Can someone point me in the right direction. Many thanks.
