I am hoping that someone can help me because I am at my wits end. I am trying to transcode some fansubbed anime's to DVD from an MPEG file, so far everything's working fine. yet I get to episodes 34 and 35 and they work, but when I verify them they run at 3 times the speed and it's not synched with the audio!! I have tried everyhting that I can think of. I have been using NERO vision express, is there something else that I should be trying? If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. Thanks for any assistance that you can give

Unless the anime is so old that it's public domain it still falls under forum rule #6: "No warez, cracks, serials or illegally obtained copyrighted content! Links to content of a questionable nature, asking for, offering, or asking for help/helping to process such content in any way or form is not tolerated." The fansubs may be intended for free use, but the original copyrighted material wasn't.

Edit: After replying I checked your previous post here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=89069). There is a sticky at the top of the Newbies page that more clearly explains the qualities of Fair Use.

Let's focus on the problem itself. It turns out that a video that I made myself is having the same problem. I decided to try some other files to see if this would end up happening to something else, and it has. I really can't think of any reason why these random few files are doing this, especially since from the small group of video files that i've made myself from scratch only 2 of them are doing the same thing of having the video working at a faster speed than the audio, there has to be a wayt o fix this, any ideas?

so far i've been using Nero vision express to transcode the MPEG to a DVD type filles, and the DVD shrinkto compress them. At first i was thinking that it was the compression that was causing the synching problem, but even when you first try to add the file TO transcode, before it even does the job, you can see that there is a problem with the audio & video. Are there any other programs that you can think of that I can try for transcoding an MPEG to a DVD?

I'd suggest buying TmpegDVDSourceCreator...it will take existing mpeg2 files and convert them into DVD compliant files. If the audio problem still shows up then there's some screw up in your original files....

That's the odd thing, because the files that are doing this were made EXACTLY the same way as the ones that are working, there's nothing wrong with them, i've even dug up my old backup's of the files to try and transcode them with the same results. It really makes no sense. What I am wondering is if there is any way to actually go in with any program that exists, and SLOW down the video, maybe change the frame rate or something? Anythign like that possible without a tremendous amount of woirk?
