DVD Fab Decrypter 2.9.6.6

I thought some of you might be interested in the change list for this version:

- Change: Improved copying engine, hopefully you don't need to post-process with VobBlanker or FixVTS anymore.
- Change: Fixed DVD Shrink "Out of memory" error when copying some new released DVDs, like "Valiant" (US).

What does hopefully mean, they didn't test it or they are not for sure?

I will stick with the Plugin/DVDD way. This I know works!

ROFL! I guess I didn't notice the hopefully in there. I don't use it myself but I happened across the change list so I thought I'd post it for those that do. I would try it and see what happens I guess.

Ran the troubled Madagascar through it then into shrink for compression.

No errors at all, worked great even burning and playback!

But I downloaded this after researching the problems I was having with some new discs, ( including Madagascar ) and although FAB works great getting all the files onto the computer, when I use DVD Shrink in File Mode, it reads normally and I can select/deselect stuff as necessary, and it looks like it working normally but the output files are tiny ( couple of megs ). Its broken up into the VOB's like it should be, they are just small.

This happens only on files ripped from DVDFab.

Any clue?

I don't personally use dvd fab decrypter or Shrink. The only reason I posted the info here about it is because I know people using Shrink were having issues with the out of memory error on ripguard titles. The only suggestion I can think of is to trying running the output from dvd fab decrypter through FixVTS or Vob Blanker and then try DVD Shrink on it to see if that works for you. Other than that, honestly, I have no idea what could be wrong.
