I have a yaun PD300mini usb pen. I have installed the driver and software. Everytime I capture something the sound synch is out by about 5 secs can anyone help getting this to work properly. I have tried the latest ffdshow audio encoder but it does not help. Also tried to run the capture through divx, relaplayer, windows media player with the same results.

Op sys windows xp

What software can i try to resolve this issue..

Welcome to the Forum:

More information up front would help. I googled up your device, I think. Is this it? http://www.yuan.com.tw/en/products/vdo_pd300mini.html#

The featureset for this device specifies that it is capable of "real-time digital video recording as MPEG2 format"; have you used the included software to capture to MPEG2, or are you trying to capture to a different format, or using software that you're more familiar with?

If you're capturing to MPEG2 and running an XP OS, you should have the codecs registered that will render these files successfully.

I dl'ed the user's manual and took a look (if indeed, this is your device?), you might do the same, or offer comments if you've done so.

Details, details, give us more of them! Point us at the exact workflow you're using and the steps involved so that we can better help you. I'm certainly no capture guru; we'll pass this off to the guys over in the Capture Forum if you don't get it sorted, soon.

I am using the bundled software to capture the image, yes it is the hardware you say in your reply. Also downloaded and installed the driver and software that is posted on the site as it claims to be newer than that I got on the disk...

Well, there's a link in this thread to your capture hardware, but we still don't know which software you're using. I could make a guess based upon the spec's on the page my link goes to, but again, supply more details.

Extreme audio delay is more common with encoded .AVI files, that's why I asked if you're capturing to MPEG-2, like the spec's say your device is capable of, or are you using another software app and capping in .AVI format?

[Edit] I'm gonna do what I should have done in the first place and send it this over to the guys in the DVB forum. Good luck!

When I checked the disk supplied there was only one file which loaded the driver and the capture programme that yaun uses.
