For the past month to 2 months. I have been trying to convert some video I had recorded. Unfourtently I have been running into various problems which I has seem to put me at a stand still.
I have tried using GrodianKnot and Vegas Video for the video editing/converting.
-- First problem I seem to run into is that when I try to use the DivX or XviD encoder in either program. I have sound but video is black.
-- Second problem I am having is I can only have the sound set to PCI uncompressed mode. This leads to a very large file sizes where 1/2 to 3/4 of the data is for just the sound only. I am assuming based off of when GrodianKnot's rendering phase where it displayed at one point (Video Size: 50MB Sound Size: 150MB).
-- Third problem I have, though I am not to sure due to the fact the Sound portion of the file is being so big. But I am trying to get the files around 180~250 MBs in size for about 20~24 mineuts. These video files would only be on my laptop, not displayed for TV.
If someone could help me, I would greatly appreciate it.
And Yes I have tried reading the FAQ's and Forums and Guides, and so far what I have come across has not help me yet.
Thank you.
