Well, as the title pretty much says, I'm unsure of what to do. I have a bunch of matroska files that contain 1 avi stream, 2 aac streams and an srt stream. I can extract them, but I have no clue how I'm supposed to combine 1 avi stream, 1 srt stream and 1 of the aac streams together. I've tried virtualdub, virtualdubmod and a bunch of other programs, but I really can't quite figure out how.

Any help?

Can you be a little more specific please. You want to combine them into what?

Try StaxRip - http://www.planetdvb.net/staxrip/
Or you may like to visit www.matroska.org and get the matroska lite pack which has a matroska muxer.

Regards

I said 'divx' in the title. I want it all to become 1 single divx stream with the subtitles, 1 audio stream and 1 video stream.

@Blutach; i'll check it out.

UPDATE: I've tried Staxrip but it won't work for me... anyone who can tell me more specifically? (Like, in steps?)

StaxRip does mkv and dmf (divx) only with vobsub subtitles. Ain't vobsub a option for you?

I don't even know what that is :P *googles*
Hmm, well, I have an .srt file, so that's not a vobsub. I need something that actually puts the subtitles INTO the video stream, making it one single video stream.

try AvimuxGui (http://www-user.tu-chemnitz.de/~noe/Video-Zeug/AVIMux%20GUI/)

it will take your avi, aac streams and srt and produce an avi/divx file

if that doesnt help, convert your aac to mp3 using the excelent BELIGHT and then mux the avi, mp3 streams and srt using AVIMUXGUI or use DIVXMUX to mux it all and produce a DIVX MEDIA file with a switchable sub that will play in any divx certified dvd player

When I try to start that program it tells me "couldn't open file - languages.amg"

Is it part of a program?
Nevermind, I didn't read properly.

When I try to Start muxing, it will only allow me to save as a .mkv! What am I doing wrong? So far I've only managed to create a new .mkv without the extra audio stream...

click on settings and on standart output select avi instead of mkv

when you load the video, you need to click on "generate data"

I have! But when I click "Start" it shows me the screen where I have to type the filename and choose a selection, where I can only pick .mkv! :s I have no clue what to do.

I'm not sure what you're talking about... o_o Sorry, I'm really, really, really new to this stuff.

I just selected my .mkv file. :o Should I select my video stream and then add audio streams?

what i would do since i never used mkv would be.

demultiplex the streams
convert the aac streams to mp3 streams
join the avi, mp3 tracks and the srt with DivxMux

check your PMs

1- Get MKVEXTRACT GUI
2- demultiplex your MKV with MKVEXTRACTGUI to elentary video/audio/srt
3- use avimuxgui to put everything back together into an avi file

OR

3-convert your aac track to mp3 using belight
4-join the avi,mp3 and srt with avimuxgui or use DIVXMUX

Hope that helps you

I have a bunch of matroska files that contain 1 avi stream, 2 aac streams and an srt stream.

If you'd demuxed your original, legally acquired disc and sent your components to the matroska container, you'd know how to handle this. Your workflow indicates that this is not the case. Look to the Forum Rules and the Announcement on the Newbies homepage for pointers to files for which we can, and cannot issue help.
