Hi I am new to the DL world and am wanting to make a DL with my BenQ 162I (16X Dual Layer burner). I spoke to my external burner's phone support and was advised on the Media to purchase and that was the Sony R+ DL.
Now I am wondering which program is the best to use in my first attempt at this type of backup.
I prefer Clone DVD2, however I don't know if this proggy has the ability to do a long backup.
I am looking at a backup that would be 3 hrs long.
I would appreciate comments and suggestions, thankyou.

I should say that I have used this burner with great success, using the media that BenQ recommends and also keeping on top of my firmware.

hi Dew,

what is the source material you wish to back-up?
is it an original commercially released dvd?
or an originally authored dvd you have created yourself?

if it is a commercial dual layer dvd you wish to back-up, i would personally recommend the use of dvd decrypter (which can handle the majority of copy protections found on dvds) to rip the original in iso mode, then use dvd decrypter (or ImgBurn) to burn the iso image (in iso write mode, selecting the .mds file) onto your blank media.
