I have a video for which I'll be creating english and spanish SRT subs from scratch using Subtitle WorkShop (http://www.urusoft.net/home.php?lang=2). After some searching, I found this thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=61883&highlight=selectable+subtitles) that links to a method of doing something similar, but I have two questions about it. First, I didn't understand wether that method creates selectable or hard subtitles. Second, I'd like to know if such method can be used with DVDLab Pro.

Yes... you can use DVD Lab pro... one of the formats it supports is exactly .srt files.

Side note: I think the method that is refered on th thread of your link, is muxing (I just read it very quickly :)) if that's the case then the subtitles will be selectable.

I tried to read Subtitle WorkShop's readme and did some googling, but I haven't found a suitable guide for creating the subtitles. When I press the "Ins" key, the timestamp does not correspond to the movie time. For instance, let's say that the first speech is at 00:02:00, when I press "Ins" the timestamp of that line is 00:00:01. What is the correct procedure?

"Alt-C" = beginning
"Alt-V" = end (of subtitle)
