I'm having a weird problem with my new GS31 camera, and I'd like to see if the issue is just with my camera, all GS31s, or all GS31s and GS35s. More details on the problem to be found here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=104275) or here (http://www.pana3ccduser.com/showthread.php?t=6271).
If someone could record a scene similar to what I'm doing and post it as a raw DV avi file, that would be a HUGE help to me to decide if I should bring this camera back, buy the GS35 instead, etc. It is mostly visible in post-processing, so I can't just go look at a display model in a store to figure out if it'll have the issue.
What I'd want is for it to be filmed indoors in so-so lighting and to have the image stabalization off. Can have the rest on auto (or if not, be sure you say what the settings were). Should have a relatively dark background and then a bright object moving very fast (maybe move it first up and down, then side to side, or circular). It can be a pretty short clip. Something like waving a strip of white paper around would probably be fine.
