With settings below all my subtitles in secondary fullscreen display ,that from here on out will call FSD, work properly with mpc in avi, ogm, mkv, and ogm containers. With this setup no FFDSHOW is required!
NOTICE: Took me days to work out correct settings as well as determine LATEST NVIDIA drivers 81.95 have serious issues with fullscreen playback when certain container combinations are used. NVIDIA drivers 81.85 work completely fine.
1. codecs installed
1. xviD 1.03 stable (not 1.10 it had issues with FSD - use default settings)
3. DivX 6.x (If you wish I prefer to have divx render divx - it has some
really nice playback settings that xvid doesn't)
3. CoreVorbis 1.1_20050709 (for most audio type playback)
4. Haali Media Splitter
5. VSFilter 2.37 (not VobSub it had issues with subtitles to FSD)
6. Nero Digital -> rename mplayerc.exe to showtime.exe and you can playback mp4
file types even in mkv containers properly.
1. Format all checked all set to directshow except:
realplayer -> realplayer
quicktime -> quicktime
shockwave -> shockwave
2. Output Settings
DirectShow Video -> Overlay Mixer
RealMedia Video -> System Default
VMR7/9 (renderless) -> Use Texture Surfaces and render video in 3D
DirectShow Audio -> Use default directsound
3. Filters all unchecked except:
Source Filters -> ogg
Transform Filters -> AAC
Transform Filters -> MPeg Audio
4. Audio Switcher all unchecked
5. Audio decoders -> set to sound card
6. Mpeg Decoder
enable planer YUV media types
Always display forced subtitles
deinterlacing method -> auto
7. Overides -> Nothing
