I have a dual layer DVD that I ripped, then I removed one of the PGCs, edited in some footage with MPEGVideoWizard, then used VobBlanker to replace the original PGC with the new PGC. I had gotten the edited video into VOB format with Rejig. Anyway, I open the files on the HDD using PowerDVD and they play fine. I then burn the files to a DVD+R DL with Nero 6.6.0.13. I select "DVD Video", then drag the files over, then burn. One of my DVD players will play it fine, but another one will not play audio when I play the edited PGC, but plays the audio on the other PGCs just fine. I play the DVD on my PC using Power DVD and even though you hear the audio, when I right click and select "Audio Languages" the "English" is grayed out. On the other PGCs this is not the case. On those the "English" is not grayed out, and a check mark is beside it (there is only one audio stream). Then I noticed the VTS_01_0.IFO & BUP files are 172KB on the DVD+R, but the files on my HDD that I burned from are only 142KB. I tried using Nero to burn to an image and it did the same thing (made the files bigger). I have compared them in IFO edit and there are a few changes, but the most obvious one is in the VTS Overview (the first line):

PGC_5 (program chain): [Title(TTN): 5] [00:04:00.03 / illegal fps] (Programs: 6) (Cells: 7) (uses VOB-IDs: 5,11)
[Ch 01] [Pg 01] [Cell 01] [V/C Id: 5/ 1] : time: 00:00:20.19 / 30 fps [Pos: 00:00:20.19] [Frames: 619] SP/ILVU/DISC/SA:[ no/ no/yes/ no]

instead of the pre-nero:
PGC_5 (program chain): [Title(TTN): 5] [00:25:30.07 / 30 fps] (Programs: 6) (Cells: 7) (uses VOB-IDs: 5,11)
[Ch 01] [Pg 01] [Cell 01] [V/C Id: 5/ 1] : time: 00:00:20.19 / 30 fps [Pos: 00:00:20.19] [Frames: 619] SP/ILVU/DISC/SA:[ no/ no/yes/ no]
[Ch 02] [Pg 02] [Cell 02] [V/C Id: 5/ 2] : time: 00:06:46.14 / 30 fps [Pos: 00:07:07.03] [Frames: 12813] SP/ILVU/DISC/SA:[yes/ no/ no/ no]
[Ch 03] [Pg 03] [Cell 03] [V/C Id: 5/ 3] : time: 00:04:58.14 / 30 fps [Pos: 00:12:05.17] [Frames: 21767] SP/ILVU/DISC/SA:[yes/ no/ no/ no]

[Ch 06] [Pg 06] [Cell 07] [V/C Id: 11/ 1] : time: 00:00:32.13 / 30 fps [Pos: 00:25:30.07] [Frames: 45907] SP/ILVU/DISC/SA:[yes/ no/ no/ no]

there are also some significant changes in the VTS_PGCITI -> VTS_PGC_5 section (PGC_5 is the edited video I inserted). How can I keep Nero from altering the IFO file, and why is it doing it in the first place? BTW, all audio is ac3. Also, if I select the PGC that is the "play all" PGC, when I get to the video that contains the edited video, the sound will play fine on everything, and the "English" is not grayed out in Power DVD.

I may have fixed this problem. I opened the files on my HDD with PGCEdit and used that tool to create an ISO image and then I will burn with DVDDecrypter or ImgBurn. I still do not understand why Nero was altering the IFO/BUP file. I have already created the ISO with PGCEdit and played it with PowerDVD and it seems ok. Also, the IFO file remained 142Kb and PGC 5 didn't have "[00:04:00.03 / illegal fps]" placed in it. The only thing PGCEdit did with the IFO files is the VIDEO_TS.IFO file had a reference to a subpic that was not used in the PGCs and so it changed it from 1 to 0. Then I enabled the 32kb gap between the IFO and BUP.
