View Full Version : DVD Media recording method

I've searched for it unsuccesfully.

I use Alcohol 120% to burn backups of my kid's original DVDs to keep in the car.

Firstly I was using what looked like no-brand DVDs I picked up for 20$ (for 50) at The Source formerly known as Radio Shack. They were branded Hyundai but they turned out to be, well, not so good. Apparently from the read I got on another thread they're knockoffs and of the worse quality.

So having noticed that Ritek G05s are among the decent ones, and having spotted Maxell DVD-Rs for 25$ (again, spool of 50) at Wally World, I picked some up this morning.

From what little I've tried (one succesful burn @ 8X) they're better as the other brand I had would fail miserably at >80% when burning at 6X+. They would only burn succesfully at 4X.

I do have a question: What does DVD DA0 mean in recording method? It's a pull down menu with only that one choice in it.

Thanks.
